The tavern development will provide a new family-friendly neighbourhood hospitality venue for the Yanchep and Two Rocks community, which is growing and expanding at great speed.

Located on the corner of Peony Boulevard and Marmion Avenue, the tavern will activate the highly exposed junction at the start of the main street and bring a new life and energy to the District Centre development.

The tavern, which features three internal dining and lounge areas and three external courtyards, will be tenanted by experienced local operators RMW Group, who manage The Woodvale Tavern, The Duke Bar and Bistro and The Kingsley Tavern.

With an experienced operator skilled in similar catchment areas, the tavern will specifically cater to the Yanchep demographic and establish itself as a key social hub in the community.”

Design Intent

The tavern has been thoughtfully designed by Oldfield Knott Architects to blend into its urban surroundings. Its scale balances the larger shopping centre and nearby residential buildings, ensuring both accessibility and activity in the surrounding area.

The design complements nearby developments along Peony Boulevard, using sustainable materials and efficient practices to create a Yanchep/Wanneroo aesthetic with a touch of sophistication.

Landscaping will be practical and responsive to local conditions, while the building’s mix of solid and permeable walls provides both enclosure and openness, mitigating traffic noise and managing strong sea breezes from Marmion Avenue.

The Development Approval from the Metro Outer Joint Development Assessment Panel is a significant milestone in the Project lifecycle and the main hurdle in the significant authority approvals process.
